87% Tempranillo, 9% Garnacha, 4% Albillo Mayor, reserva, hand picked and selected. The wine has rich aroma of plums, mullbery, wild cherries, touch of chocolate and coffee. The wine was aged 12 month in oak barrels from France.

Felix Callejo has bio winery with his own vineyards since 1989. He makes only red wines from beautiful vineyards around 850-930 metres above the sea level. The wines are great here because of terroir - high temperature during the day time and lower ones by night. This is good for Tempranillo (here called Tinta Fina), it gives rich, full body, aromatic wines with nice structure.

After three years of aging in wood and two years in bottle (hence the name, Valbuena 5), this wine feels energetic, rich in kirsch flavors, evolving toward spices and plum as it gains in complexity. Tobacco and cedar notes frame dried cherry, plum, loamy earth and menthol flavors in this savory red. Below the polished texture, firm tannins and balsamic acidity lend structure.
